A magical Friday night in Vancouver as I got to see TWICE open their This Is For World Tour in North America. Their album, THIS IS FOR, is one of my favourites. It was an incredible show including a performance of "TAKEDOWN" from KPop Demon Hunters.

After finding out who the singer (EJAE) is for Rumi in KPop Demon Hunters, I went to look for other music by her. I fell in love with her voice! EJAE (Kim Eun-jae, born December 6, 1991) is a Korean-American songwriter, producer, and vocalist. As a former SM Entertainment trainee for nearly a decade, she studied at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts before debuting as a songwriter. She co-wrote Red Velvet’s “Psycho,” which became her breakout success. Since then, she has written for top artists like TWICE, aespa, LE SSERAFIM, NMIXX, and KARD. She co-wrote and performed “Golden” for KPop Demon Hunters which topped both the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart. There aren't many songs sung by her but I hope to hear more songs from her in the future. Here is one that was just released, "In Another World."

A new single, "DANCING ALONE," from South Korean girl group KiiiKiii (키키) formed by STARSHIP Entertainment was filmed across the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. There are shots of Point Grey Secondary School where actor, Seth Rogen, attended and wrote the movie, Superbad, based on his experiences there. The music video shows neighbourhoods in Langley, Pitt Meadows, and Port Coquitlam and Splitsville bowling alley in Richmond that I've been to. It's exciting whenever I see my hometown on film. Also, this song rocks!

I just finished watching, "KPop Demon Hunters," on Netflix upon recommendation from my aunt in Korea. It was so good! The animation, story, music, and characters were top notch. I give it high praise for its Korean authenticity with a lot of cultural detail incorporated into the movie. The soundtrack is phenomenal! I'd love to see a sequel.

Co-ed, catchy, and fresh. A new group, ALLDAY PROJECT, dropped their debut single, "FAMOUS." It's got a bit of the 90s K-pop flare to it. I can see why it's #1 on Korea's Top 100 Melon Chart this week.

I'm digging this new South Korean girl group, Hearts2Hearts, formed by SM Entertainment. The group consists of eight members: Carmen (카르멘), Jiwoo (지우), Yuha (유하), Stella (스텔라), Juun (주은), A-na (에이나), Ian (이안), and Ye-on (예온). They debuted on February 24, 2025 with the single album, "The Chase." They have a chill vibe.

I was traveling in South Korea and stayed in Busan at Haeundae Beach during Festival Shiwol from October 3-5, 2024. I had no idea this event was happening and saw a great artist, Ha Hyun Sang (하현상), perform. I am a fan.

I went to the TWICE 5th World Tour "Ready To Be" in Toronto on July 2, 2023. It was their first time performing in Canada. They put on an excellent show!
