ILLIT

ILLIT (아일릿), a five-member South Korean girl group under HYBE’s Belift Lab, emerged from the 2023 JTBC survival show "R U Next?." Originally six finalists were selected-Yunah, Minju, Wonhee, Iroha, Moka, and Youngseo-but Youngseo departed the lineup before debuting following a mutual contract termination. The group name, derived from "I will" and "it," represents their ambition and uniqueness. On February 28, 2024, ILLIT made their first public appearance as a group at the Acne Studios show during Paris Fashion Week, making them the first K-pop artist to appear at the event prior to their official debut.
ILLIT officially debuted on March 25, 2024 with their debut mini-album Super Real Me, featuring the lead single "Magnetic." Produced under the guidance of Bang Si‑hyuk and other HYBE-affiliated producers, the EP sold over 380,000 copies in its first week and surpassed 500,000 by April’s end, topping domestic and international charts including Circle Album Chart and Billboard World Albums, peaking at #93 on the Billboard 200. "Magnetic," a hybrid pluggnb‑house track, became the first debut song by a K‑pop group to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 (entering at #91), and also broke records for Spotify and Oricon streaming milestones—achieving 100 million views on YouTube in just 85 days and 100 million streams on Oricon within 11 weeks.
Following their debut, ILLIT maintained momentum with their second EP I'll Like You released on October 21, 2024, featuring tracks like “Cherish (My Love)” and “IYKYK.” The album debuted at #2 on Korea’s Circle Chart and Billboard’s World Albums, while quickly achieving strong sales and another Platinum certification from KMCA. In 2025, their third EP Bomb arrived on June 16 with the lead single “Do the Dance” blending synth‑pop and Eurodance styles. In addition to chart success, ILLIT garnered major Rookie of the Year awards, were named Billboard’s first "K‑Pop Rookie of the Month" in June 2024, and became brand ambassadors for Pocari Sweat.
