During the 80s and 90s, my parents dropped by the Korean video store on a weekly basis where they rented their favourite shows on VHS tapes. Their favourite genres were family-focused dramas and singing competitions. I have fond memories of them laughing so hard watching them. In the early 2000s, I was really into Korean movies including Shiri, Il Mare, Joint Security Area, My Sassy Girl, Friend, Oldboy, and Tae Guk Gi. I didn't get into K-dramas until 2011 when I saw "High Kick: Revenge of the Short Legged" and loved it. Lately, I've been into K-reality shows specifically "I am Solo" and "I am Solo: Love Forever." But I do love a good K-drama. Here is a list of my favourites.
