Jinusean

Jinusean is a South Korean hip-hop duo that rose to prominence in the late 1990s and played a pivotal role in popularizing hip-hop music in South Korea. The group was formed by YG Entertainment and consists of two members: Kim Jin-woo (Jinu) and Noh Seung-hwan (Sean). Jinusean was formed in 1997 by YG Entertainment's founder, Yang Hyun-suk. At the time, the hip-hop genre was relatively new in South Korea, and Jinusean became one of the pioneering groups in the genre's local development. Their name, "Jinusean," is a combination of the members' names, Jinu and Sean.

Jinusean achieved breakthrough success with their debut single "Tell Me," released in 1997. The song became a massive hit and topped various music charts, introducing hip-hop to a wider audience in South Korea. Their energetic performances, catchy tunes, and charismatic personalities endeared them to fans, propelling them to stardom. Following their debut, Jinusean released several hit songs, including "Gasoline," "A-yo," "Phone Number," and "How Deep Is Your Love." Jinusean made a triumphant comeback in 2015 with the release of the single "Tell Me One More Time." The song topped charts and became a commercial success, proving their enduring popularity and relevance in the K-pop scene. Jinusean's contribution to the Korean music industry and hip-hop culture remains significant. They are often referred to as "hip-hop legends" and are celebrated for their role in shaping the genre's development in South Korea.
