SISTAR19

SISTAR19 is a South Korean musical duo formed by Starship Entertainment in 2011, consisting of members Hyolyn and Bora, both originally from the popular girl group SISTAR. Their debut single, "Ma Boy," was released in May 2011. Their second and most successful single, "Gone Not Around Any Longer," was released in January 2013 which quickly rose to the top of music charts in South Korea and was nominated in the 2013 World Music Awards. The song showcased their strong vocals and emphasized their dynamic chemistry as a duo.

"Gone Not Around Any Longer" was a departure from SISTAR's typical upbeat pop sound, instead opting for a more mature and emotive R&B style. The song's lyrics explored themes of heartbreak and longing, resonating with listeners and contributing to its commercial success.

Despite being active for a relatively short period, SISTAR19 gained significant popularity both domestically and internationally. Their performances were characterized by powerful vocals, sleek choreography, and a captivating stage presence. However, after their debut, the duo did not release any further albums or singles, with both members focusing on their respective solo careers and activities within SISTAR until the group disbanded in 2017.

While SISTAR19's tenure as a duo was brief, they left a lasting impact on the K-pop industry, earning praise for their talent and contributing to the broader success of SISTAR as a whole. On November 16, 2023, it was announced that the duo would officially be coming back in January 2024. They released their new single album, "No More (Ma Boy)," on January 16, 2024.
